Q&A WITH MIA

Where do you LIVE?
I live in the Harvey Park neighborhood in SW Denver. My house is a lovely, unassuming 1950s brick ranch. I have chickens and a huge garden.

Why Real Estate... Aren't There Enough Agents On The Planet Already?
When I got in to real estate, it was just before the current market started to go crazy so there was time to get to know what my clients wanted. These days I feel things move so fast for so many people so my focus has shifted to being an educator in addition to a superb negotiator. I love helping my buyers and sellers devise the strategy that works for their needs and it’s been successful so far! No one likes feeling overwhelmed and pressed to make a quick decision when there is so much on the line. The challenge is sheer joy to me and I don’t see myself doing anything else!

What Music Is Currently on Your iPod?
I don’t have an iPod. Call me old school, but I am a radio and vinyl girl to the nines. I’m super into jazz and blues, a little soul here and there, and my roots are in house music. There isn’t much I don’t appreciate!

What Cause Gets Your Time And Money?
I am a cancer survivor so my family and I are huge supporters of Love Hope Strength and the Dear Jack Foundation. Both are rock star charities that encourage people to "Get on the List" by being a bone marrow donor or provide Life List wishes for Young Adult cancer victims and their families. Having gone through a bone marrow transplant at age 37, I know first-hand the impact that both of these organizations have on people and I encourage you to check both of them out and get involved!

Give It Up. What Local Restaurant Is Your Best Kept Secret?
Colore Restaurant & Pizzeria in Englewood. Living in SW Denver, my family likes to branch out quite a lot. I have a lot of places I like, but Colore is top neighborhood spot. We always leave with empty plates, a full belly and money in our wallet! It’s worth the trek every time!
